Linn, a British company, have been at the forefront of producing some of the greatest music making equipment for many decades and the only one sporting a Royal Warrant, without doubt the realisation that source first was of fundamental importance was realised in their now legendary Linn Sondek LP-12 Turntable, as a result of the many refinements and upgrades that have been made over the decades it remains as the ultimate source component and the benchmark by which all others are judged.
It does however require a high degree of expertise in both setting up and regular maintenance and our abilities in this respect is second to none, our man (Ian Rocchi) is just as likely to be setting up an LP-12 in Zurich or Vienna as here in the Cotswolds and when recently, loudspeaker manufacture Neat Acoustics, asked Linn to recommend someone to supply them an LP-12 Linn to demonstrate their loudspeakers, Linn directed them to us.
Digital Streamers (DS)
Linn are not a company to rest upon their laurels and the 21st century saw the introduction of Digital Streaming in the form of the Klimax DS, which has now gained the international reputation as the best digital source in the world.
Your CD collection is “Ripped” (copied) to a computer storage device and distributed via your home network, you control the Linn Digital Streamer and select the network stored music you wish to play from your Apple iPhone, iTouch, iPad or other wireless device from the comfort of your listening seat, in fact buy a Klimax DS from us, now available in Black or Silver and we will give you an Apple iPad FREE! Amazingly, CD’s sound better when played back by this method than even the very best CD Players, so much so that Linn have now ceased production of all their CD Players.
Linn Digital Streamers are not limited to playing back music ripped from your CD collection but can also playback much higher resolution files, which can be downloaded from the Web, often as the original studio master recording. Once again they need a dealer with expertise to help you to get the very best out of them, and here we are second to none and with the full range of Linn DS units on demonstration you can chose from Sneaky DS, Majik DS, Majik DS-I, Akurate DS and of course the mighty Klimax DS itself.

Linn really pioneered active systems with their legendary Isobarik design in the 1970’s, speaking personally and as a former loudspeaker designer myself, my PhD is in Audio Engineering specialising in loudspeaker design, active, or Aktiv as Linn would have it, is the very best way to go if your goal is musical excellence and both our top brands agree.
Whilst our customer’s role is listening to music ours is very much to listen to our customers, many were telling us of their difficulties finding comprehensive demonstration facilities for Linn equipment where they could evaluate their options and arrange home demonstrations. Well here at Ultimate we have decided to step up to the plate putting in over £250,000.00 worth of new demonstration equipment.
